A Partial Acknowledgement of Error

We noted yesterday that the New York Times, in reporting on John Kerry’s gaffe, flatly misrepresented what Kerry said. Which, of course, made it much easier to defend him and pretend that the story was really about the Republicans’ “attack” on Kerry. We predicted that the paper would do a correction, but not until after the election. We were half right; the correction appeared this morning:
