Enemies or old friends?

Christopher Hitchens argues that when James Baker urges us to talk to our enemies in the Middle East, Baker is really advocating that we talk to his “old friends.” Old friends “who just happen to be supplying the sinews of war to those who kill American soldiers and Iraqi civilians.”
