The ISG variations

Mark Steyn’s column today is helping me get back on track in my anger management therapy: “ISG must stand for, uh, Inane Strategy Guesswork.” The column is full of highlights, including this one:

[I]nsofar as this document has any novelty value, it’s in the Frankenstein-meets-the-Wolfman sense of a boffo convergence of hit franchises: a Vietnam bug-out, but with the Jews as the designated fall guys. Wow. That’s what Hollywood would call “high concept.”

Thanks, Mark.
PAUL adds: I’ve suggested that the “Jews as falls guys” part was the price James Baker exacted from the Democratic members for the “Vietnam bug-out” part. Of course, it’s possible that I’ve been too charitable to one or both factions.
