Big sister is watching

All of the first-tier presidential candidates are unable, given their current status, to make policy. Either they no longer hold office (Giuliani, Romney, Edwards) or they are limited to casting votes in the Senate (McCain, Clinton, Obama). However, second-tier candidate Bill Richardson is not thus constrained. As governor of New Mexico, he’s in a position to shape policy on a wide range of issues, including some that pertain to basic events in our day-to-day existence.
Richardson has risen to the challenge by installing talking urinals in men’s rooms throughout the state. Here’s how they work. New Mexico has not installed such a device in the state’s women’s rooms. Apparently, this is because men account for 78 percent of all driving-under-the-influence-related convictions in New Mexico. It still sounds like sexism to me, though.
