The “Bush economy” once more

Once upon a time, in the days of a slight economic downturn followed by a “jobless recovery,” this was President Bush’s economy (never mind that the downturn had commenced during the final days of the Clinton administration thanks is part to the “dotcom” bust). But at some point fairly early in the past four years of economic boom, Bush must have turned the economy over to someone else, because we stopped hearing the MSM mention the “Bush economy.” In fact, the MSM stopped mentioning the economy much at all — this despite the fact that its accomplishments have been comparable to those that occurred under President Clinton for whom, with MSM help, the economy became his one positive claim to fame.
But, as NRO’s media blog notes, “the Bush economy” is back. All it took was one very bad day on the stock market.
