Duke keeps on rolling

The Duke lacrosse team scored a significant victory over the weekend, defeating Virginia 7-6 in overtime. Virginia had been ranked second in the nation, with Duke fourth. I imagine the victory will see Duke into the third slot, behind undefeated Cornell and Albany.
In a sense, the team’s biggest victory came earlier in the week when all charges were dropped against the three players falsely accused of rape and other misconduct. However, the team’s reaction to this news was understandably subdued. Here’s how Matt Danowsky, the team’s leading scorer whose goal sent the Virginia game into overtime, described it.
