A profile of Hillsdale College

The Toledo Blade runs an interesting profile of Hillsdale College, whose second president — Edmund Fairfield — helped found the Republican Party in Jackson, Michigan in 1854. Hillsdale’s own profile takes less of a curent political slant than the Blade story does and is just as interesting. I couldn’t have enjoyed my own visit to Hillsdale more when I spoke there, as John noted, in April 2005 at its spring convocation.
