Register’s last hurrah

Over the past three months Joel Mowbray has relentlessly dogged Larry Register, head of the government funded Al Hurra television network who oversaw some outrageous programming, in a series of columns in the Wall Street Journal and on Power Line. This afternoon Register resigned. Register will be replaced by Daniel Nassif of Radio Sawa. Will Nassif be any better? Joel has owned this story and we trust that he will stay on the case to assure that this is another case of trading up.
UPDATE: I have it on good authority that Nassif is a sound selection for the position. He is, among other things, a signatory to the Middle East Forum’s May 2000 Lebanon Study Group Report.
