A kick for the ages

Glenn Reynolds first brought Glasgow Airport hero John Smeaton to my attention by pointing out “the headline of the year, maybe the decade.” Now today’s Wall Street Journal tells the rest of the story in “Meet John Smeaton: One kick and he is the hero of Glasgow.”

I think there are TWO heros in the Glasgow Airport attempted bombing last week. The man pictured is Alex McIlveen, a cab driver. The other person, John Smeaton, is the baggage handler who also jumped in to try to save the day.
