Whine and poses, part 3

Our friend John Podhoretz has not only become editorial director of Commentary, where he will take over from the distinguished editor Neal Kozodoy in January 2009, John has also begun posting at the Commentary blog contentions. In his post “First they came for Hillary Clinton…,” John examines the Clinton team’s media management in the wake of Ms. Hillary’s uninspiring debate performance last week. Whatever the appetite of the mainstream media for a competitive primary race among Democratic candidates, I don’t think the Clinton team finds media management much of a challenge. Over at connecting the dots, Commentary senior editor Gabe Schoenfeld deliberates over Paul Mirengoff’s speculation on this subject. (Thanks to John for the correction regarding his current position, which I have incorporated into the post.)
