The Clintons’ terror pardons

Debra Burlingame recalls Bill Clinton’s 1999 grant of clemency to 16 FALN terrorists. Clinton offered the terrorists’ purportedly harsh sentences as the ground for his clemency. In truth, Hillary Clinton’s nascent senate campaign provided the rationale. In other words, the clemency was corrupt and the ground offered for it untenable. As Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign now appears to be undergoing its death throes, Burlingame reminds us how the demise of the Clinton campaign stands to contribute to American civic life.
PAUL adds: It is surely too little and probably too late, but I believe Puerto Rico will be holding a primary soon. The Clintons’ terror pardons should give her a boost in that venue.
