The Wrong Kind of Military Experience

In my opinion, retired general Wes Clark is one of the least impressive people who have entered public life in recent years. He is, among other things, a partisan hack. Still, I was shocked to learn that in a conference call with reporters earlier today, Clark argued that Hillary Clinton’s experience as First Lady has better prepared her to be Commander in Chief than John McCain’s “wrong kind” of military service:

[H]aving served as a fighter pilot
