Lenin lives

Daniel Silva’s new Gabriel Allon novel is Moscow Rules. To research the novel he visited Moscow with his family last summer. In Moscow he found that Lenin “was our constant companion.” Silva meditates on the reasons for Lenin’s ubiquity in the interesting column “Comrade Lenin: Alive and well.” Silva’s column provides an update to the story Nina Tumarkin tells in her 1983 book Lenin Lives! The Lenin Cult in Soviet Russia.
