Palin Church Fire Was Arson

We wrote here about the suspicious fire that did $1 million in damage to the church that Governor Palin attends in Wasilla, Alaska. Today authorities confirmed that the fire was started by an arsonist:

Whoever torched Gov. Sarah Palin’s home church tried to start fires in several places around the building, the federal agency assisting in the investigation said today.

Accelerants were found in multiple locations on the outside of Wasilla Bible Church, including around entrances and exits, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Given that the church was occupied at the time, the arsonist’s effort to start fires at the exits is rather chilling. No word yet on any suspects.
