Public Cooling On Warming

There isn’t a lot of good news these days, but here is one item: Rasmussen reports that a plurality of Americans now understand that human activity is not the chief cause of global warming:

Forty-four percent (44%) of U.S. voters now say long-term planetary trends are the cause of global warming, compared to 41% who blame it on human activity. Seven percent (7%) attribute global warming to some other reason, and nine percent (9%) are unsure in a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

That represents a significant shift since April of last year, when by a 47%-34% margin Americans blamed human activity. What’s happening, I think, is that scientific reality is beginning to penetrate the fog of propaganda that liberals have laid down on the issue. That, plus people have started to notice that it’s currently getting cooler, not warmer.
