Airbrushing History

This local story probably isn’t being reported anywhere else, but, along with many similar stories, it sheds a disturbing light on the Obama administration: FEMA grounds Minnesota coloring book with pic of 9/11 attack:

A coloring book from southeastern Minnesota, written and designed to help children cope with disasters and other crises, has been removed from a federal government website after one or more complaints about its content, a county official said this afternoon.

“A Scary Thing Happened” contains a colored drawing depicting the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, including a plane approaching one tower while another is ringed in flames.

The book was removed from the website of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on Tuesday ….

In a statement, FEMA spokesman Clark Stevens said, “The coloring book, which was put online in 2003, was removed last week and FEMA is currently reviewing all web content designed and posted by the previous administration.” Stevens declined to take any questions, including about any complaints the agency may have received.

Here is the offending page from the coloring book; it would be interesting to know more about the alleged complaints:

It isn’t hard to see where this is going. It started with the television networks imposing de facto censorship on all footage of the September 11 attacks. The pace of revisionism is accelerating as Obama’s executive branch reviews everything produced by “the previous administration.” Eventually the only public legacy of the September 11 attacks will be photos of American soldiers brutalizing detainees.
