May Need Help Tomorrow

Tomorrow from 11 to 1 central, we’ll be broadcasting live from the Minnesota State Fair on AM 1280 the Patriot. Only it won’t be “we.” My radio partner, Brian “St. Paul” Ward, has been stricken with something that sounds suspiciously like swine flu. Even if it proves not to be the dreaded porcine virus, ’twill do, ’twill do–Brian is out of commission for tomorrow.
So I’ll be soldiering on alone, abetted by guests like the Minnesota Honey Queen (11:15) and Rep. Marty Seifert, gubernatorial candidate (12:00), not to mention our annual Scotch egg eating contest at 12:30. But doing the show solo could get lonely, so if you are a Minnesotan and are planning on being at the Fair tomorrow, please stop by. We are on the south side of Dan Patch Avenue, just a block in from the Fair’s main entrance on Snelling Avenue, across the street from the DFL’s booth. If you are listening on the web or the radio, be prepared to call in. Audience participation will be the order of the day!
