Eric Holder’s Buddy

The biggest scandal in the news these days is the explicitly racist law enforcement policy that has been adopted by the Department of Justice under Eric Holder. There is no precedent–not in the last century, anyway–for such a discriminatory policy. Consistent with that policy, Holder dictated the dismissal of voter intimidation charges against several members of the New Black Panther Party even though the prosecution by career DOJ lawyers had already succeeded. Why did Holder intervene on behalf of Malik Shabazz, the party’s leader, and other party members, one of whom was a Democratic Party precinct official? Racial bias is the only plausible explanation.
But how disreputable a character is the beneficiary of Holder’s favoritism? Even more disreputable, it turns out, than one might have guessed from his assumption of the “Black Panther” mantle. In this video, Shabazz proclaims solidarity with Osama bin Laden:

These are the people on whose behalf Eric Holder intervened to quash an already-successful prosecution. I don’t think any further comment is necessary.
