Strong shots and long shots

There is no more important task for conservatives and Republicans than getting a conservative majority in Congress in the November elections. As in 1994, Republicans have recruited an impressive roster of candidates to take the battle to Democrats in currently Democratic districts all across the country. Here are a few races I would like to draw attention to with links to the candidates’ contribution pages and invite my John and Paul to add on as they see fit. The limitations of this list reflect the limitations of my knowledge, for which I apologize in advance.
Daniel Webster against the vile Alan Grayson in Florida’s Eighth Congressional District.
Allen West against Ron Klain in Florida’s Twenty-Second Congressional District.
Renee Ellmers against Bob Etheridge in North Carolina’s Second Congressional District (“I’m a nurse and my husband is a doctor. There are right ways and wrong ways to improve health care. Obamacare is the wrong way.”)
Dan Benishek against Gary McDowell in Michigan’s First Congressional District (the district currently represented by Bart Stupak).
Kristi Noem against Stephanie Herseth Sandlin for South Dakota’s seat
Rick Berg against Earl Pomeroy for North Dakota’s seat.
Sean Duffy against Julie Lassa in Wisconsin’s Seventh Congressional District (David Obey’s seat).
Sean Bielat against Barney Frank in Massachusetts’ Fourth Congressional District. No congressman has done more damage to the United States or deserves more to lose than Barney Frank.
Ruth McClung against Raul Grijalva in Arizona’s Seventh Congressional District.
Teresa Collett against nonentity Betty McCollum in Minnesota’s Fourth Congressional District (St. Paul). Professor Collett is a brilliant teacher at the University of St. Thomas Law School in Minneapolis. She is a deeply pro-life candidate of complete integrity running in a strongly Democratic district. All she needs is money to make this race competitive and make her opponent sweat.
