Ahmadinejad reaches out

President Obama’s policy of engagement with Iran is one of the signal foreign policy failures of Obama’s first two years in office. It is also a continuing source of humiliation. Back home after his outrageous appearance at the UN and his lovely meeting with Yale graduate students in New York, Iran’s President Ahmadinejad had a few more words for the United States today: “May the undertaker bury you, your table and your body, which has soiled the world,” he said.
Folks my age may hear Khrushchev and the Cold War in those words, but the AP explains that Ahmadinejad was using language in Iran reserved for hated enemies. Thanks for clearing that up!
