Smart Diplomacy for Dummies

At the GLORIA Center site and blog, Barry Rubin calls the video below “The ultimate one minute and fifty-two second explanation of Middle East policy.” Rubin writes:

I cannot urge you strongly enough to view this short cartoon video about U.S. Middle East policy, building on the [stolen State Department cables disseminated by] Wikileaks. While it isn’t completely fair — not mentioning U.S. efforts against Iran in terms of sanctions, military help to Gulf Arabs, etc. — it is also absolutely brilliant at getting across the main theme.
Watch it!
And at the end, check out the expression on the face of the character on the right (who represents Arab leaders).

Rubin links to the video posted at Omri Ceren’s Mere Rhetoric, where Ceren comments that “It’s not exactly like this, but it’s pretty much exactly like this, ya know?” It’s “pretty much like this” in the Obama administration’s “smart diplomacy.”
Let’s go to the tape.
