Fast and Furious: An Optimistic Scenario

I think the chance of Eric Holder ever testifying before a Congressional committee on the Fast and Furious scandal is essentially zero. Nevertheless, it is a tempting thought: for once, maybe the upper reaches of the Obama administration could be held accountable. Michael Ramirez envisions a committee hearing at which Eric Holder appears to answer questions. Sort of:

Maybe if Holder does testify, a Congressman will ask him why the stimulus bill paid to supply Mexican drug gangs with automatic weapons. Hey, who said the stimulus didn’t stimulate anything? It stimulated, apparently, mass murder in Mexico and the United States. Do you think this might be a scandal that newspapers and television networks might want to cover?

Just kidding, of course. We all know what drives “mainstream,” i.e. Democratic Party, news coverage.
