“I Didn’t Say ‘Change We Can Believe In Tomorrow.'”

Last night, we mocked President Obama’s announcement that “we’re not even halfway there yet.” Halfway to where? 11 percent unemployment and $6 a gallon gasoline? We can only hope that is not true.

Now let’s look at the very next sentence in Obama’s campaign speech: “When I said, ‘change we can believe in,’ I didn’t say ‘change we can believe in tomorrow.'” Today’s stock market collapse, on top of all of the other disasters, domestic and foreign, that Obama has visited on us, leads me to agree: that’s right; not change we can believe in tomorrow, but rather change we can believe in in November 2012.
