Iranian Double-Cross Arrives Right on Schedule

So yesterday there was the usual wave of euphoria as Iran’s President Ahmadinawackdoodle told NBC’s Ann Curry (properly adorned with a head veil in Tehran–lots of brave feminism on display here) that the two hapless hikers imprisoned for the last 18 months would be released shortly–perhaps in two days.  It was clear all along that Iran would require a ransom for their release, though it would be called “bail.”

Well, surprise, surprise, today news out of Iran is that it might not be happening after all. News reports say it is part of an internal “power struggle.”   But maybe the ransom amount has gone up?  In anyone really surprised by any of this?
