Uncommon Knowledge with Thomas Sowell

Thomas Sowell is the one and only. His newest book of many is The Thomas Sowell Reader. Peter Robinson sat down with Sowell to discuss the book a couple of weeks ago, but Peter leads off this installment of Uncommon Knowledge with William Buckley’s introduction of Sowell on Firing Line 30 years ago. In the clip from Firing Line Buckley salutes Sowell for being “a scholar who has devoted his labors to looking behind the cliches of abjection.” (Peter in turn salutes Buckley for his eloquence).

Through our arrangement with the Hoover Institution, we are pleased to present this installment of Uncommon Knowledge in its entirety. While I usually ask readers to “check it out,” this time around I will simply say: Enjoy.
