The Obama administration’s record is terrible on pretty much every issue, but energy is one of the worst. Obama appointed a Secretary of Energy whose avowed goal was to raise the price of gasoline. Obama himself promised to make the price of electricity “skyrocket.” Unfortunately, those wishes have come true. One especially damaging aspect of Obama’s War on American Energy is his effort to drive coal-fired power plants–the nation’s biggest source of electric power–out of business.
The Republican National Committee put out this short video to remind Ohio voters of the Obama/Biden administration’s awful record when it comes to coal:
In happier times, Joe Manchin, former Democratic Governor of West Virginia and now a senator from that state, was willing to be seen with Obama:
These days, with more than 40% of West Virginia Democrats preferring a felon incarcerated in Texas to Barack Obama, not so much. Manchin most likely won’t even vote for Obama.
