A day at the fair

If you look around the Web, you will discover that one of the hecklers who disrupted Paul Ryan’s appearance at the Iowa State Fair yesterday was Frank Cordaro. Doing the job the mainstream media won’t, a faithful reader writes to update the Cordaro file:

One of the hecklers taken away from Paul Ryan was a former Catholic priest who attended high school with me named Frank Cordaro. Frank never had time to protest at an abortion clinic but was arrested at Offut AFB many times through the years. Carter invited him to the White House and he responded by throwing ashes inside (something to do with nuclear fallout). He has lately been active in what passes for the occupy movement in Des Moines. Sadly a jackass showing no tolerance for an opposing viewpoint.

(Wikipedia has more on Cordaro here. He has a deep rap sheet for his “spirited” protests.) The Right Scoop has posted a video of Ryan’s speech in its entirety along with a photo of what the New York Times reporter in attendance described as a “Palin-size GOP crowd.” By contrast, the Daily Caller reports that Vice President Biden spoke before a group of 660 yesterday at the Durham Armory in Durham, North Carolina.
