The facts about Benghazi are known; the only thing that remains is to disclose them

In an interview with Fox News, which you can see below, former Attorney General Michael Mukasey lays out with great clarity the case that the Obama administration has been incompetent and dishonest when it comes to the Benghazi attack. This is true, he says, of the lead-up to the events of September 11 (when protection was denied the consulate in spite of previous attacks against the Brits and the Red Cross), the events themselves (when our people were told to stand down), and the aftermath (when the White House tried to push a “cock-and-bull” story about the video).

The White House has claimed that the situation needs to be investigated, and will be revealed in due course. But the White House already knows the answers to the basic questions about what decisions the administation made on the fateful day, what information they were based on, why they were made, who made them, and what President Obama’s involvement was. Thus, as Mukasey says at the end of the Fox interview, “the facts are simple, they are known, they are available; the only thing that remains is to disclose them.”

I urge you to view the whole, scathing thing.
