Not guilty

That’s the verdict in the George Zimmerman case. He’s not guilty of murder or of manslaughter. And so the jury found, apparently without much difficulty.

Justice has been served.

Zimmerman was appropriately subdued in the aftermath of the verdict. This was a very unfortunate situation, and one can only feel terrible about the death of Trayvon Martin and the loss suffered by his family.

But George Zimmerman should not have been prosecuted.

He was prosecuted, I believe, to satisfy African-Americans. However, the African-Americans I see on my television do not seem satisfied.
