If you hate Obamacare, press 7 now

In his talk to the nation today, Predident Obama tried to reassure folks that the kinks in the health care exchanges are being worked out. He also urged consumers to call an exchange hotline number — 1-800-318-2596 — if they continue to encounter problems online.

Unfortunately, the hotline doesn’t seem much more efficacious than its online cousin. As Andrew Johnson notes, there are numerous accounts of people attempting to do so use the hotline, only to get a busy signal or an automated message, or to be referred back to Healthcare.gov.

Obama’s real message to America, after the fashion of the bumper sticker you sometimes see, has been and continues to be: “How’s Obamacare? 1-800-EAT-SH__.”
