Thursday in Boulder: The Dynamic Duo

No, not that dynamic duo that runs around in underwear and capes; I mean the dynamic duo of Ted Nordhaus and Michael Shellenberger of the Breakthrough Institute.  I’ve noted them many times before here on Power Line as the most interesting and serious defectors from environmental orthodoxy while remaining firmly planted on the left/progressive side of the political spectrum.  I’m hosting them for a public lecture here at CU/Boulder this Thursday evening at 6:30 pm, in Eaton Humanities room 1B50 (same room Jonah Goldberg spoke in, for those of you who came to that fun evening).  Ted and Michael will be speaking about what they call “Eco-Modernism.”  More details here.

If you have a moment, take a trip over to the Breakthrough Institute website, where right now they are featuring sparkling articles on the massive land footprint of the Ivanpah solar project that we’ve written about here on Power Line; why the U.S. is being hypocritical in trying to deny hydropower to the developing world; and a critique of anti-growth environmentalism from Roger Pielke Jr.
