Tuesday in Boulder: Jonathan Adler (Updated)

Adler copyFor Power Line’s Denver-Boulder area peeps: Jonathan Adler will be speaking tomorrow (Tuesday) evening at 6:30 pm on the topic, “It’s Not Over Till It’s Over: Why The Obamacare Legal Battles Are Far From Over.”  (Click the link for details of room location, etc.)  Jon, the Johan Verheij Memorial Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Business Law and Regulation at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, specializes in environmental, administrative, and constitutional law. He is the author or editor of four books on environmental policy and more than a dozen book chapters.  He’s also part of the stable of super-smart legal bloggers on the Volokh Conspiracy, now part of the Washington Post‘s online family.

He’s the co-architect of the current lawsuit making its way back up to the Supremes challenging the drafting “mistake” in the Obamacare statute that only allows federal subsidies for states that set up exchanges.  The Obama Administration is lawlessly going ahead with subsidies anyway in the more than 20 states that declined to set up subsidies.  Without the subsidies, Obamacare will fall apart rather quickly.

This ought to be an open-and-shut case, but nothing is any more.

UPDATE: The original listing had the wrong room.  Jon’s lecture will be in Benson 180, and NOT Atlas 11 as previously advertised.
