Obama v. Bush @ West Point: It’s No Contest

I was privileged to visit and lecture at the U.S. Air Force Academy a few weeks ago, and noted at the time that the students—I mean, cadets—looked and spoke rather differently than most of the students I encountered at Boulder.  They impressed me as a very serious and fine bunch.  (See photo below.)  Too bad they had to suffer through Slow Joe Biden as their commencement speaker earlier this week.

It could have been worse.  They could have been Army cadets at West Point yesterday, suffering through our abdicating commander-in-chief.  Take in this video that captures what even CNN called “tepid” applause from the cadets at his introduction.  Here’s Obama:

No contest is it?  As I say, the cadets at our service academies are a serious and fine bunch of “folks” (as Obama would call them), and they can spot someone who isn’t without much difficulty.
