Evil at the United Nations

I don’t believe we have written about Naftali Frankel, Gilad Shaer and Eyal Yifrah, the three Israeli teenagers who were kidnapped, apparently by Hamas, while hitchhiking home from school on June 12. [UPDATE: Scott did write about it, see below.] Frankel, 16, is a dual Israeli-American citizen. The boys have not been seen since they were abducted and may or may not be alive. The kidnapping was generally viewed by Palestinians as a coup for Hamas. The Palestinian Authority posted this image on its Facebook page:

Earlier today, Rachel Frankel, Naftali Frankel’s mother, bravely appeared before the United Nations’ Human Rights Council to plead for her son’s release. What has been the U.N.’s reaction to the kidnapping of the the Israeli teenagers? Exactly what you would expect: zero concern for the victims, endless solicitude for their Palestinian tormentors and, possibly, murderers. This video was prepared by Human Rights Voices:

We cannot remind ourselves too often that the United Nations lacks any moral standing and should not be treated with respect.

UPDATE: Sometimes I forget whether I have read something on our own site or somewhere else, so my apologies to Scott, who wrote about this outrage here. Thanks to my wife for pointing out the error!
