Edward Jay Epstein: Who is Edward Snowden?

As I have frequently observed here, Edward Jay Epstein is incapable of writing a dull book. He is the author, most recently, of a new edition of Deception: The Once and Future Cold War as well as The JFK Assassination Diary: My Search for Answers to the Mystery of the Century, published in paperback (available here) and as an ebook (available on Amazon here), reflecting his longstanding interest in the Kennedy assassination and related issues. Ed’s Annals of Unsolved Crime was published in paperback this Spring. I should add that Ed’s ebooks Killing Castro and James Jesus Angleton: Was He Right? remain of great interest, and that his classic 1992 New Yorker article, “Epitaph for Jim Garrison: Romancing the Assassination,” is accessible online at his site.

Ed is in my opinion our foremost investigative journalist and Edward Snowden is the subject of his current work. Below is a YouTube video of Ed responding to questions I posed to him in connection with his work on Snowden. The video is posted on YouTube here.

As usual, I tried to play the role of C-SPAN’s founding genius, Brian Lamb, asking the questions the intelligent citizen would want answered. My questions appear in print on the screen as the preface to Ed’s answers. The video is twelve-and-a-half minutes long. I think it warrants your time and invite you to check it out.
