It seems extraordinary that the Democratic Party press is trying so hard to generate enthusiasm for tonight’s State of the Union speech, given that everyone knows nothing Obama proposes will happen. If you want to save yourself some time, skip tonight’s speech and spend 12 minutes watching this montage of 112 of Obama’s broken promises from prior SOTU’s, going back to 2009 when Democrats controlled both houses of Congress and he had no excuse. Tonight’s speech will be forgotten just as quickly as the last six were:
