The 25th Annual Dinner of the Center of the American Experiment is Tuesday evening at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. For something like the ninth year in a row, I will serve as master of ceremonies. The featured speaker will be P.J. O’Rourke, so the evening should be a great deal of fun. America’s most famous political humorist, P.J. has written for such diverse publications as National Lampoon, Car and Driver, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair and the Weekly Standard. Among many other things, he is a Fellow of the Cato Institute. P.J. has written lots of books, including Parliament of Whores, Republican Party Reptile, Give War a Chance and Eat the Rich. My favorite is probably Holidays In Hell.
The evening starts with cocktails at 5:30. Dinner is at 7, and the program ends promptly at 9:00. (As M.C., I guarantee it.)
