Understanding the zombie apocalypse

Paul Cantor is Clifton Waller Barrett Professor at the University of Virginia. He is a scholar who loves and venerates Shakespeare along with American popular culture, which makes perfect sense if you think about it.

In his most recent Conversation (video below, about 90 minutes), Bill Kristol sits down with Professor Cantor for an extended discussion of American popular culture. The video is broken into six chapters hereIf you want to deepen your understanding of Deadwood, or The Godfather, or Breaking Bad, or The Walking Dead, or Have Gun, Will Travel, or the films of John Ford, or the genre of the Western, or The Simpsons, or The X-Files, or Seinfeld, or Curb Your Enthusiasm, Professor Cantor is your go-to guy. Not to mention the Hobbesian Western versus the Lockean Western! This is seriously great stuff. Highly recommended.
