Not Gonna Call These Gals

I’ve long argued that Ghostbusters was a conservative movie, because the bad guy was an arrogant bureaucrat from the EPA, and moreover, there’s snappy dialogue that reinforces entrepreneurialism and the private sector:

Dr Ray Stantz: Personally, I liked the university. They gave us money and facilities, we didn’t have to produce anything! You’ve never been out of college! You don’t know what it’s like out there! I’ve *worked* in the private sector. They expect *results*.

There’s even a law review article (of course there is) about the application of Ghostbusters to the environmental debate.

Well here’s the trailer for the new female-cast Ghostbusters, and I’m not impressed:
