Obama: Uncontrolled Migration a “Major National Security Issue”

In Europe, that is. CNN, covering President Obama’s trip to the U.K., tweeted a little while ago:

Huh. The same principle apparently doesn’t apply here. Maybe someone should tell him about the news story that Scott linked to this morning:

One of the American men accused in Minnesota of trying to join the Islamic State group wanted to open up routes from Syria to the U.S. through Mexico, prosecutors said.

Gules Ali Omar told the ISIS members about the route so that it could be used to send members to America to carry out terrorist attacks, prosecutors alleged in a document filed this week.

Millions of Americans have been trying to tell Obama and Congress for some years now that uncontrolled migration into the U.S. is a “major national security issue.” Funny how the same standard doesn’t seem to apply here.
