The Kaine cacophony [with comment by Paul]

The GOP has compiled the video below of Tim Kaine making his presence felt in the vice-presidential debate event last night. The video keeps a running tabulation of Kaine interruptions that reaches 72. It seems to me that Kaine must have set some kind of a record for obnoxious behavior in such events. To surpass Joe Biden’s performance against Paul Ryan in 2012 on that score, Kaine had to go a fur piece (as Lena puts it in Light In August).

Watching this compilation, which is difficult even with the tight editing, I wonder what Kaine and his coaches thought they were doing. I also give Pence extra credit for keeping his cool amid the cacophony.

By way of alliteration permit me to add: from cacophony to kakistocracy. That is not such a fur piece.

PAUL ADDS: To see how sleazy Kaine is, consider this: After repeatedly being interrupted, Pence finally interrupted Kaine and was promptly admonished by the moderator. Kaine proclaimed, “now we’re even.”

Kaine is now in damage control mode. He says he’s been “dinged” for his interruptions, including by his wife. Too bad his wife isn’t running for vice president.

We saw the real Tim Kaine yesterday. It wasn’t pretty.

We also saw the real Mike Pence. In my view, he is the only one of the four candidates who, ideology aside, wouldn’t be an embarrassment in high office.
