Make the Labor Dept Great Again

Trump has announced that he will nominate Andy Puzder, the CEO of the CKE Restaurants, which includes Carl’s Jr. and Hardees fast food outlets. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Puzder a few times, and found him to be very impressive. He’s known as a fierce critic of Obamacare and an opponent to unrealistic minimum wage mandates. He’s thought by some to be soft on immigration control since fast food restaurants depend on cheap labor, which often means immigrant labor.

Maybe so, but what the TV networks took after tonight was not any of these positions, but rather the ads he’s run for Carls Jr, at least one of which we have saluted here on Power Line. Here’s a recent one that we approve of:

You can find a complete collection here. Seems to me Puzder is exactly the right man for the Labor Department.
