Trump Tweets on Harassment of Electors, and the Associated Press Rebuts

I didn’t expect to do another post on the Associated Press tonight, but who can resist? Donald Trump tweeted on the unprecedented campaign of threats, intimidation and harassment that the Democratic Party has launched against Republican electors in hopes of stealing the presidential election:

If my many supporters acted and threatened people like those who lost the election are doing, they would be scorned & called terrible names!

Well, that’s true, of course. But the Associated Press, rather than simply reporting Trump’s newsworthy tweet, weighs in on behalf of its party, the Democrats:

In fact, Trump and his supporters have threatened people before. He frequently whipped up audiences at his huge rallies by railing against reporters, immigrants, Muslims and his critics. He repeatedly threatened news outlets with lawsuits. And he and his supporters have bombarded his critics on Twitter.

So it’s only fair that the Democrats try to steal the election by threatening and–who knows?–bribing Republican electors! The AP has come out of the closet, in case you hadn’t noticed, as a Democratic Party organ.
