Contra the dross of April Doss (2)

Maria Bartiromo had House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes on the Fox News Sunday Morning Futures show to discuss the heavily redacted FISA warrant applications that were released by the Department of Justice on July 21 in the Saturday night document dump (video below). I posted the documents here as released. Query whether the DoJ released these documents on a Saturday night because they are proud of their handiwork and understood that it vindicated the integrity of their efforts. I don’t think so.

I will return to this subject at greater length in the context of the current Weekly Standard cover story by April Doss. In the cover story Doss disparages Nunes as a crazy conspiracy theorist. Again, I don’t think so. See, for example, Byron York’s Examiner column “FISA warrant application supports Nunes memo,” Andrew McCarthy’s NR column on the FISA applications and, ahem, the Standard’s own profile of Nunes by executive editor Fred Barnes a few pages before Doss’s cover story.
