Noem Versus Nidal

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, a possible VP choice, continues to take heat for gunning down a vicious canine. That invites a look at Vice President Biden’s response to a mass shooting of American soldiers by U.S. Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Hasan, who billed himself as a “soldier of Allah.”

On November 5, 2009 at Fort Hood, Maj. Hasan yelled “Allahu akbar” and blasted away with two handguns. He shot dead Capt. John P. Gaffney, Spc. Frederick Greene, civilian physician assistant Michael Cahill, Maj. Eduardo Caraveo, Staff Sgt. Justin Michael DeCrow and Spc. Jason Dean Hunt, who took a fatal bullet in the back. Hasan killed Pfc. Aaron Thomas Nemelka, Pfc Michael S. Pearson, Capt. Gilbert Russell Seager, and Pfc. Kham See Xiong, 23, of St. Paul, Minnesota. The terrorist’s victims included three women.

Pfc. Francheska Velez, 21, was pregnant and yelled “My baby! My baby!” Hasan shot her in the chest, and her pre-born child was never counted among the murder victims. The soldier of Allah also shot dead Lt. Col. Juanita L. Warman, 55, and Staff Sgt. Amy Sue Krueger, 29, who took a fatal bullet in the chest.

The wounded included Army Reserve Captain Dorothy Carskardon, who came to the aid of Velez.  Sgt. Alonzo Lunsford took seven bullets from Hasan, including shots in the head and abdomen. Hasan grazed the right side of Staff Sgt. Shawn M. Manning and shot him in the left upper chest, left back, lower right thigh, upper right thigh, and right foot. And so on, for more than 40 others, including civilian police officer Kimberly Munley. She managed to wound the man FBI bosses claimed was not involved in terrorist activities.

For the composite character president, formerly known as Barry Soetoro, it was “workplace violence,” not terrorism or even “gun violence.” Vice President Biden, who would also have access to the best information, issued this statement.

Jill and I join the President and Michelle in expressing our sympathies to the families of the brave soldiers who fell today.  We are all praying for those who were wounded and hoping for their full and speedy recovery.  Our thoughts and prayers are also with the entire Fort Hood community as they deal with this senseless tragedy.

Like the president, the Delaware Democrat failed to condemn the shooter, identify his motive, or name a single victim. That gutless evasion failed to become an issue for Biden in 2020, but there was more to it. In 2023, the Biden administration renamed the base after Gen. Richard Cavazos, passing over Lt. Col. Warman, the highest-ranking victim of Nidal Hasan’s murderous attack.

Last October, Hamas terrorists committed the worst mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust and took Americans hostage. In 2024, with Americans still held captive, Biden strives to disarm Israel, effectively siding with Hamas. This betrayal should remove any doubt that the Delaware Democrat is Obama’s puppet in White House face.
