Where in Europe is a woman most likely to be raped? The answer probably will surprise you:
An explosion of violent crime in the United Kingdom has made England and Wales into what one economist calls “the rape capital of Europe by a sizeable margin.”
***
The rate of increase is staggering, too. Reported rapes are up 63% in just five years.
***
The new numbers catapulted England and Wales past Sweden at 96.
“Catapulted past Sweden” in the rape statistics. That is new, too.
The rape rate in England and Wales is more than twice that in the United States:
The US rape figure — 41.8 per 100,000 — is nothing to brag about but it’s still much less than half of what the women of England and Wales must endure.
This all has to do with immigration, of course. Legal and illegal immigration–both categories are generally combined these days as “migrants”–have fundamentally transformed British society. What once was a law-abiding country is now a hotbed of, among other things, forcible rape.
Britain has no idea how to deal with migrants who arrive in England with very different ideas about proper behavior. Currently, rather than address their country’s violent crime crisis, British police are going after those who criticize migrants on social media. In some cases, those people get long prison terms, even as the rioting that they criticized continues:
Meanwhile, His Majesty’s Labour government responded by preparing to empty the jails of 5,000 criminals, some of them violent, to make room for the people protesting against Britain’s immigration-fueled crime wave.
The ultimate absurdity.
Who has been warning, for years, against the dire consequences of Britain’s insane immigration policies? Mark Steyn. Having been proved right, is he now hailed as a prophet? Not exactly. He was kicked off British television and has spent much of the last decade defending himself in court.
These days, it seems that those who prosper most are the ones who have never been right about anything: Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, Keir Starmer. It is hard to see how democracies can survive when being right, rather than being wrong, is anathematized.
