In March of 2021, Joe Biden appointed Kamala Harris to take charge of the border. Since then, the Biden-Harris administration ushered in some 10 million illegals, with no criminal background checks. With crime by these illegals a raging issue with voters, Harris made a rather odd choice to introduce her at an event in Douglas, Arizona, last Friday.
Doing the honors was Tori Verber Salazar, former district attorney of California’s San Joaquin County, introduced as a Republican. As Katy Grimes of the California Globe noted, Verber Salazar has been a Harris donor since at least 2016 and there is no evidence of contributions to any Republicans. Verber Salazar joined forces with California DAs Diana Becton of Contra Costa County, Chesa Boudin of San Francisco, and former San Francisco DA George Gascón, in a “progressive” association that favored violent criminals over their innocent victims. As in George Orwell’s Animal Farm, the revolutionary animals decide that rats are indeed comrades. The people aren’t exactly on board with it.
In 2022, 35 attorneys in the San Joaquin County DA’s office cast a vote of no confidence in Verber Salazar. In June of 2022, Ron Freitas, backed by law enforcement, defeated Verber-Salazar 54.5 to 45.5 As DA in San Francisco and attorney general of California, Kamala Harris preferred the “progressive” approach to violent crime. As “border czar,” Harris functioned as a pro-bono attorney for the criminals she and Biden have allowed into the country.
