Thoughts from the ammo line

Ammo Grrrll exhorts us to “LEAD, FOLLOW, OR GET OUT OF THE WAY!” (Encourage, organize, donate, poll-watch or shut the heck up!). She writes:

Excellent columnist and novelist Col. Kurt Schlichter did a Vulcan mind meld a few weeks ago, got into my head, and stole the idea for a column I already had made many notes on! It wasn’t the first time he had done it, either.

He and I are BOTH fed up to here with all the Debbie Downers and Dougie Demoralizers who insist that a) Trump has no chance and b) no matter how hard we work, it won’t matter because the Democrats will cheat massively, or c) if the margin is too big to rig, then there will be a Black Swan event or COVID 43.0 to prevent our President from taking power. It’s hopeless. Give up now. Seriously, don’t even TRY. It is better to live on your knees than to expend any energy trying to fight on your feet!

He and I BOTH (no, really, and he’s MUCH scarier than I am…) are issuing the warning that the next commenter who suggests that the upcoming election is “hopeless” or, worse yet, “even IF Trump wins, it won’t make any difference,” will be designated as a professional troll out to demoralize us. And treated as such. Meaning: we will not reply to you nor will we invite you to our birthday parties! (I remember that as a yuge threat in grade school!) If you spread defeatism, I will block you faster than Kamala changes positions. (No, not THOSE positions – grow up. Unless you have some pictures from P. Diddy.)

Does this mean that you can’t criticize Donald J. Trump because I am a robotic cult worshiper, a charge flung about with gay abandon? For the love of Pete, NO! I am very fond of Trump but I am an issues voter, not a personality voter. I didn’t hate Hillary – all that much — until her idiotic, insulting Deplorable Speech, but my concerns were four-fold. Yes, I hate abortion with every fiber of my being, but I honestly did not think that could ever be even partially fixed in my lifetime. And now, at least temporarily, it is left up to the states.

That is a huge step forward. It has already saved thousands of lives of the unborn. We have more educational work to do to make it a thing future generations look back on in head-shaking shame, much like slavery. Routine ultra-sounds in pregnancy have made a yuge difference in perception: women believed the “clump of cells” lie until the ultra-sound picture looked suspiciously like a BABY! But moving on…

So my four issues in 2016 were “the border, The First Amendment, The Second Amendment, and support for Israel.” On those core issues, Hillary was 0-0-0-1/2. And Donald J. Trump was 4 for 4. And those issues have not changed a bit, except for the important addition now of the economy. Paying $35 for a medium-sized Pot Roast will definitely make that issue “top of mind.” And it goes without saying that Kamala is 0-0-0-0. Really just a giant nullity.

But ask yourself what the point is of gratuitous Trump criticism at this eleventh hour. Unlike the Democrats, OUR team doesn’t get a do-over, even if we thought one was necessary, which I most certainly do not. But, but, but…the critics are just trying to “help” Trump do the right thing! Right?

Do you think that Trump is sitting around plowing through some 600-700 comments going, “By Jove, I think he’s GOT IT? I WILL stop referencing (fill in the blank) and just say (this other brilliant thing that guy likes!) If only there were some way that I could get this genius to write speeches for me I might win this darn election! Except for the fact that the cheating is going to be over-the-top so we don’t really have a chance as this third guy said. Oh well!”

What Trump, a man my age, is doing is giving his absolute all – and almost his life — to save this country. He is risking his life every minute of every day. He doesn’t have to. He doesn’t need the money. He doesn’t need the fame. He does not seem to me to crave power. He has a beautiful, loving wife, brilliant and attractive, non-addict children with whom he has never showered, and grandchildren who adore him, with none he won’t acknowledge.

Here is what I say to the people who say moronic things like, “He’ll have all the comics arrested!” (Kathy Griffin, who in any event would not be affected, having never been funny once, even by accident) or “He’ll never leave office!” (a whole gaggle of brain-dead women), or the has-been slattern Stormy Daniels who says Trump will have her arrested for – of all things – TREASON.

WE DON’T NEED TO SPECULATE. He WAS President for four years. Did he do ANY of the things you think he “might” do? Cameron Diaz endorsed Hillary in 2016 because Trump was not only going to ban abortion, but BIRTH CONTROL! Did he? Of course not. You would think that most of the loudest lady loons would have “aged out” of concern about getting pregnant anyway, but they just yap on and on. Oh Em Gee, you guys, Trump is never going to leave office! Well, he was IN office and he LEFT. The stupidity is strong with these women.

I don’t even agree that Trump is a narcissist, at least not any more than the rest of pathetic humanity. He just wants – how much clearer could it be? – to Make America Great Again.

By contrast, what YOU are doing – Mr. hiding behind an Avatar genius – is caterwauling and criticizing and demoralizing and nitpicking and hoping with every fiber of your cowardly being that Trump will be defeated so you can go, “Neener, neener, toldja so.” And what a victory that will be in a life that I suspect is fairly short of victories of any kind!

If that ISN’T the case, then why in Heaven’s name are you doing it? My favorite liars are the “concern trolls” who pretend to be loyal conservatives. Oh, they for sure plan to vote for all the down-ballot Republicans, it’s just that Orange Guy at the top of the ticket who is no good.

Right. They tout their conservative bona fides in continual posts which are almost as convincing as the average pretend letter to Penthouse Forum. (“Even though I am 325 lbs and 5’4” tall, one night as I left a bar, I was besieged by two dozen Victoria’s Secret models who begged me to…” Do tell. Of COURSE we believe you.)

So full speed ahead. Damn the torpedoes and let’s close this deal. Let’s look forward to four more years of energy independence, full employment, secure borders, peace, prosperity, and then sail into 8 years of President Vance. It happened before with 8 years of Reagan and 4 of George Herbert Walker Bush. Were those years perfect? Did we get every single thing we hoped for? No. And this side of Heaven we are unlikely to. But for the love of God, let’s get started. And we start with the will to make it happen. Speaking as a lover of liberty and a Jew, failure is not an option.
