I have posted a seven-minute video clip of election night on MSNBC below. The entertainment value is off the charts. The clip puts me in mind of the lines from Wordsworth’s “Resolution and Independence”: “We Poets in our youth begin in gladness; But thereof come in the end despondency and madness.” The MSNBC crew are not poets in their youth, but that is the drift here in a Laughter Is the Best Medicine sort of way.
