‘The View’ Announces Major Shakeup to the Long-Running Weekday Talk Show
So, is that egregiously awful show going to add some actual balance to its panel, ditch Sunny Hostin, who gives ABC’s legal department fresh headaches every day, or add some producers who insist Whoopi and Joy (who inspire neither thing, let alone any brightness from Sunny) include some actual facts in their blather?
No; instead, The View‘s “major shakeup” is . . . adding a Saturday show! Just what the world needs:
A major shakeup is coming to The View!
The long-running daytime talk show announced it would add a 30-minute weekend slot to its coverage called The Weekend View starting Saturday, Jan. 11, according to Variety.
Joy Behar, along with co-hosts Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro will appear on the panel of the half-hour show, with new episodes premiering at 7:30 a.m. on Saturdays on ABC News Live before running through the weekend.
The show will also feature an extended “Hot Topics” segment, as well as clips from the “Behind the Table” podcast, in which executive producer Brian Teta discusses the week’s top pop culture moments with The View co-hosts.
I’m sure everyone will want to set aside time on Saturday to catch up with this wider-angle View.
